Pay Scale Starting Basic Pay Scale for Navik (DB) is 21700/- (Pay Level-3)

How to Apply

Join Indian Coast Guard Jobs 2020: Candidates should apply only through online mode on the Join Indian Coast Guard website www.joinindiancoastguard.gov.in from 30th Nov to 7th Dec 2020. After submitting applications through ONLINE, candidates should take a print out of the registration cum application form and produce it along with self-attested copies of certificates/documents, at the time of document verification to be conducted prior to Personal Interview.

Eligibility

Height: Minimum 157 cms
Chest: Should be well proportioned. Minimum expansion 5 cms
Weight: Proportionate to height and age + 10 percentage
Hearing: Normal
Visual Standard: 6/36 (Better Eye) and 6/36 (Worse Eye)

List of Documents. Scrutiny of documents for eligibility will be carried out prior to the commencement of the written examination. Candidates are therefore required to appear at the examination Centre with the following documents:-

(a) Three copies of an e-Admit card with the latest photograph affixed.
(b) Two copies of the application form.
(c) Original Class 10th pass certificate and mark sheet.
(d) Candidates who are perusing higher education can submit self-attested photocopies of the 10th class marks sheet and pass certificate. Candidates perusing higher education are also required to produce a duly signed certificate by the head of Registrar/chancellor clearly indicating a list of original certificates held. Provisional pass certificate (10th class) will be accepted in case state boards are late in issuing original certificates, subject to production of original pass certificate at INS Chilka before induction in Indian Coast Guard.

General Instructions:

  1. Candidates withdrawn on disciplinary grounds from any other service training establishments are not eligible to appear.
  2. Candidates should not have been arrested, convicted, or prosecuted on criminal charges.
  3. Original certificates should not be attached with the application form. Indian Coast Guard will not take responsibility for the loss of original certificates if attached with the application. The photo should be pasted and not stapled. An attestation made on the backside of the photo will not be entertained.
  4. Request for change of examination Centre/date will not be entertained.
  5. All original certificates and mark sheets that are to be produced at the time of the Written Test will be returned to the candidate post verification.
  6. The candidate’s selection pertaining to a particular batch is valid for that batch only. Qualified candidates whose names do not appear in the final select list cannot claim admission for the next batch. These candidates will have to undergo the selection procedure afresh provided that they meet the eligibility criteria for the fresh batch.
  7. Applications received by post will not be accepted.
  8. Call letter for the final medical examination for enrolment in the Indian Coast Guard will be forwarded only to initial medically qualified candidates in the select list. Such candidates will be required to reach the training establishment at their own expense. Unsuccessful candidates will not be intimated separately.
  9. No inquiry will be entertained regarding recruitment/enrolment after a period of six months.
  10. Indiscipline activities including copying/malpractice etc. during the testing procedures will also result in disqualification.
  11. The application and the original documents will be further scrutinized for eligibility prior to enrolment and may be rejected if found not eligible in any respect at any stage of recruitment.
  12. It may also be noted that the minimum percentage of marks for eligibility at Para 2(a) may be increased depending upon the number of candidates applying.
  13. Candidates from “Open Schools” institutes not recognized by Govt. / AICTE are not eligible.
  14. In case of more number of candidates are applying for one Centre, few candidates may be allotted to any other Centre. Candidates with higher marks will be allotted their first choice only.
  15. Indian Coast Guard reserves the right to conduct re-assessment of candidates prior issue of call letter for final medicals at INS Chilka to avoid imposter case. If a candidate is found to an imposter, his candidature will be canceled.
  16. Mobile Phone – Use of Mobile phones and other modern electronic gadgets are not permitted during the examination. Coast Guard considers such possession as adopting unfair means. If any candidate is caught with Mobile, Smart Watch, Bluetooth, any kind of scanning equipment during examination hours, immediate action will be taken as per law including filling of FIR against the defaulter.
  17. Coast Guard cannot guarantee the safekeeping of any electronic devices. The candidate will not be allowed to go to the toilet or leave the examination venue/hall for any reason after the commencement of the written examination.
  18. All candidates will be frisked prior to entering the examination venue.
  19. All candidates are requested to be watchful and immediately bring to notice of the invigilator for any suspicious action by any of the candidates.
  20. Indian Coast Guard reserves the right to cancel the entire recruitment at any stage of the recruitment process without assigning any reason.
