IB acio Selection Process: IB exam comprises 3 stages of the selection process and the selection will be done on the basis of the marks that you will be getting in these three tiers.
Tier I: Objective Type Written Exam
Tier II: Descriptive Type Exam
Tier III: Interview and Personality Test
IB Tier I exam: According to the IB Exam Pattern, tier 1 is objective type and a carries a total of 100 questions each containing of 1 mark. For every wrong answer that you have attempted, there will be a deduction of 0.25 marks. Though, there will be no deduction of marks for unattempted questions. Exam Duration will be of 2 hours and applicants need to pass the Tier I exam if they want to appear for Tier II.
IB Tier II exam: exam duration for the Tier II will be 1 hour. The Tier II exam is of 50 marks and consists of questions from two different sections. Through this test, an applicant’s spoken and translation ability will be tested. The qualifying marks for this tier are 20 marks.
IB Tier III exam: the final stage of the exam is the Interview and Personality Test. It will be conducted for 50 marks. On the basis of their mutual performance in Tier I and Tier II exam, the applicants will be shortlisted for the final Interview round. After the Interview /Personality test, aspirants will be selected on the basis of their performance in Tier II and Interview/Personality Test. Questions in this round will be asked from any of the sections and as per the performance in the personal interview.
